Following the life of 32-year-old Kafka Hibino, Kaiju No. 8 is set in a world where humanity is plagued by Kaiju attacks. Determined to fulfill a childhood promise to his friend Mina Ashiro, Kafka decides to leave his current job at a Kaiju disposal company and attempts to enlist in the Japan Anti-Kaiju Defense Force with his new found powers!
